From
looking at the tab you should notice that the
first part of the song uses chords that look a
bit like power chords but with a string missed
out in the middle. The difficult part is not forming
the chord shapes but making sure the other strings
dont ring when you play.
To
mute the other strings, you need to use left hand
muting. Take a look at this picture:
This
is the first chord of the song. There are a few
important things to notice about it. Firstly how
my index finger is touching the low E string,
but not fretting a note on it. This stops it from
ringing when I play the other strings. Secondly,
my index finger is also touching the D string
with the fleshy part of the finger. This does
the same thing in preventing it from ringing.
I am also using the lower part of my index finger
to stop the high E string from ringing.
This
is really important for this song, because if
you don't mute the unplayed notes properly, it
will sound messy!
Practise
this fret hand muting until you can play each
chord in the intro without any unwanted notes.
Once you can do this, move on to the rest of the
song, working out the chords and putting it all
together.
Now
turn your attention to the rhythym of the song.
The chords are played in a typical punk rhythym
with one chords being played on each beat with
a swing feel. You can insert a chuck
in between if you like to make the rhythym flow
better.

for the poor quality - this was filmed via webcam!
Run
through the song slowly a few times to get to
grips with which bits to repeat etc. Then just
go for it!
