In
this lesson you will learn another more compliacted
tapping lick. Use a pick for this one as it is
very fast.
The
bottom two notes stay the same and it is only
the top note that moves around.

Look
carefully at where the top note moves and learn
this slowly. Then try speeding it up. When you
change to the second string, take care not to
hit the E string when pulling off.
To
really build up the speed, you need to relax your
right hand. This may seem silly but a tensed up
hand will play slower than a relaxed one. This
is a very important issue and it is one that I
will be devoting a whole lesson to soon. So with
your hand nice and relaxed you need to use very
small but controlled movements to tap quickly.
Practise
these sort of exercises only for about 5 minutes
and then have a rest by playing something less
tiring. You won't get any faster with a tired
arm.
